The Hyperfocus Hub

I share my hyperfocus topics so others don't have to read hundreds of articles to gather information like I did.

What Hyperfocus means to me. (Why I chose to blog)

I have always been a “Go hard or go home” type of person. I have learned so many cool skills as well as done research on so many different topics to learn as much as possible before I get bored and move on. In my mid 20s I started hearing about a primarily Adhd term called “Hyperfocus” and as I learned more about it I realized that word describes my constant intense information gathering on different topics as well as my need to get really good at many different skills.

Hyperfocus also is known for a crash at the end which usually leads to needing a very long break from the task/topic while you recover from the lack of Dopamine (a brain chemical that affects many things including mood and motivation).

Ultimately hyperfocus to me is like a superpower because you can learn so many cool things but it has its own built in kryptonite.

It is not only the crash but the tendancy that during a hyperfocus it is harder to take care of yourself including drinking water because you are so focused on learning as much as you can that creates the downside.

I have learned so many amazing skills as well as a lot of really cool information. The problem is because I learn new things so frequently I also forget a lot of the previous information and skills. I also have friends who ask to be taught some of the skills and I thought I need a place I can document a lot of this information not only for me to refer back to but for other people who don’t want to research in a million different websites like I did during my hyperfocus.

About

The Hyperfocus Hub is about using my superpower of Hyperfocus to gather tons of information and ideas so other people don’t have to spend hours weeding through articles and videos to find information and ideas that they find useful like I have a tendency to do.

I promise to have clear labeling when stating facts vs opinions.

I promise to always share information without promoting or spreading hate towards anyone or there ideas. I will never insert politics or anything overly divisive into any post.

This page is only to help people who want to get more information without as much research on their part.
